Weekend Done and Dusted

The weekends are the hardest part. Usually the family are all off doing their thing most of the day and most evenings there’s something going on somewhere. At the weekend we tend to eat together which means me finding keto recipes that everyone will eat. Chicken and mushroom worked last weekend.

I did a little experimentation with food and drink. Whiskey is keto so I tried out a few cheese pairings which were ok but nothing really outstanding. It didn’t effect my ketones though and I was in the pink most of the weekend. I made a curry for Saturday’s main meal with plenty of cream and butter in the sauce. I only had a small portion and a smaller amount of rice but something kicked me out of ketosis by Sunday morning. I was back on track by the afternoon though.

I’m registering between 4 – 8 mmol/L and look to have lost about 2.5kg. Digestive transit is not what it could be though so I need to look into that.
